Toronto police are investigating after shots were fired through the windows of a downtown business Monday afternoon.

In a post on social media, police said officers responded to calls for a shooting just after 4:45 p.m. in the area of Queen Street West and Portland Street.

They said evidence of gunfire was found at the scene, but no injuries were reported.

Damage to a building was discovered, with a glass door appearing to have been shattered by gunfire, and three gunshot holes visible in another window.
